Abstract Thomas Frederick Boatwright was a lieutenant in the 44th Virginia Infantry Regiment, Confederate States of America. Boatwright was killed at the Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse in May 1864. The collection includes letters from Thomas Frederick Boatwright to his wife Anne describing camp life and the battles at Chancellorsville and Gettysburg.
