Abstract The Bunting Family resided in Wilmington, N.C. The collection consists of miscellaneous personal letters and papers of the Bunting family including a marriage certificate; Samuel R. Bunting's captain's commission for the Confederate Army; a letter, March 1863, containing some discussion of military activity in the Wilmington-New Bern-Kinston area; and a group of social invitations belonging to Lillie Bunting, 1876-1882.
