Abstract | The Flat River Primitive Baptist Church was founded in Person County, N.C., in or around 1750. Lewis Daniel (1782-1847) served as the church's clerk. The collection is records of the Flat River Church, including minutes of monthly meetings, 1786-1979 (5 volumes), scattered lists of members, rules, deeds, and miscellaneous business letters. It also includes a Bible originally owned by Lewis Daniel (1782-1847), which records family births, deaths, and marriages, 1781-1857. |
