Abstract Nathanael Greene was a Revolutionary War major general in the Continental Army. The collection includes typescript copies of personal, family, military, and political correspondence of Greene to his cousin, Griffin Greene, written from various fields of battle during the Revolution, including Fredericksburg, Va., Philadelphia, West Point, Morristown, and in South Carolina, and containing keen observations on events and personages.
