The collection contains two volumes of reminiscences of experiences as an officer in the 9th Tennessee Infantry Regiment; twenty-two letters, 1861-1865, from Hall to his relatives about camp life and movements of his regiment in Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Kentucky; and parole and amnesty papers.
