Abstract | William James Martin was a Confederate officer and professor of chemistry at the University of North Carolina. The collection includes a letter, 14 July 1862, from Martin while a lieutenant colonel of the 11th North Carolina Regiment of Infantry, probably written to E. Graham Morrow, first lieutenant, Company G, 28th North Carolina Infantry Regiment, Confederate States of America, about conditions and personnel of the two regiments. |
