Wise, Republican candidate for governor of Virginia, 1885; a way-bill giving mileage for travel points between Asheville, N.C., and Knoxville, Tenn.; funeral announcements, 1867; news of the assasination of Lincoln, 1864, and of the Battle of Bladensburg, 1814; 1934; sheet music for the song "One Hundred Percent American," circa 1927, and lyrics for the "National Whig Song," circa 1840, and the "Democratic Campaign Song," 1876; a "Farmer's View of the Cotton Allotment Plan," 1934; posters relating to United States homefront support during World War II; a poster from a 1979 anti-Ku Klux Klan march and conference in Greensboro, N.C.; and other material intended chiefly for public posting.
