Abstract The Sharpe Funeral Home Inc. (also known as Sharpe Funeral Home and Cremations Inc.) is located in Burlington, N.C. The collection consists of one scrapbook that may be related to the Sharpe Funeral Home Inc. It is composed chiefly of newspaper clippings but also containing a few photographs, invitations, and cards. Clippings relate to the deaths and military service of African Americans; community news; obituaries; boxer Joe Louis; and national events, such as the death of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and subsequent presidency of Harry S. Truman. There are no obvious connections between the scrapbook content and the Sharpe Funeral Home Inc.
