Abstract Marvin Hendrix Stacy was professor of civil engineering at the University of North Carolina, dean of the faculty, and acting president, 1918-1919. The collection includes papers relating to Stacy's service with the University of North Carolina, chiefly letters of condolence following his death in 1919; a few items relating to his wife, Inez Koonce Stacy, including her service as first adviser to women and dean of women at the University of North Carolina, 1919-1945; and a few other items.

The collection includes papers relating to Marvin Hendrix Stacy's service with the University of North Carolina, including professional and congratulatory correspondence, speeches, and resolutions passed by various bodies in recognition of his death in 1919. There are also papers of his wife, Inez Koonce Stacy, including letters of condolence following her husband's death and relating to her service as first adviser to women and dean of women at the University of North Carolina, 1919-1945. Poems, a photograph, and other items are also included.
