MICROFILM ONLY. Family correspondence and Civil War diary. Correspondence includes letters with political and social news from Worthington's family in Washington, D.C.; letters from relatives at Danville, Ky., describing the cholera epidemic of 1833; Worthington's letters to her son at the University of Virginia, 1857-1858; letters from her son while he was serving in the 1st Mississippi Cavalry Regiment, Confederate Army of Tennessee; and other items. The diary, 1863-1865, was kept by Worthington's daughter Amanda (born 1845) and mostly concerns social life at Wayside Plantation, Willowby, Washington County, Miss.
