The Hurricane Floyd instructional module was developed by graduate assistants Dayna Durbin, Jenny McCraw, and Kristin Post, in consultation with Kim Vassiliadis and Amanda Foster of the UNC University Library and Cheryl Mason Bolick of the UNC School of Education. The module was made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) awarded to the University Library's Documenting the American South (DocSouth) digital library for the "Oral Histories of the American South" Project. Natasha Smith, Principal Investigator, and Todd Cooper, Project Manager, also provided valuable support.
The original oral history interviews were gathered by the Southern Oral History Program (SOHP). Collection #4007, Southern Historical Collection, Wilson Library, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
